Made by Me; a positive birth group
Are you pregnant and inundated with negative birth stories? Have you had a negative birth experience and want more for your next birth? Have you had an amazing birth experience and feel you cannot share it with others in fear of being "shut down" or have your experience undermined/dismissed? Are you looking for a supportive group of people to discuss all things pregnancy, birth and parenthood?
We meet on the 3rd Tuesday of every month and would love to connect with you.
Our meetings are held at Midvale Neighbourhood Centre, 3/44 Mathoura Street, Midland from 9:30-11:30 am. The meets are free and child friendly.

The faces behind Made by Me; a positive birth group
- Pip Wynn Owen is a Childbirth Educator, Registered Midwife, Hypnobirth Australia™ Practitioner and mother of 4. She is also the power behind the beautiful space Wellness on Whatley in Maylands. Pip has given birth both in New Zealand and Australia, under different models of care. She brings with her an incredible knowledge, both through her own birthings as well as her extensive experience working as a midwife and childbirth educator.
- Jacqueline O'Neill, Doula and mother of 2. Jacqueline has birthed her first baby breech after seeking out a supportive care provider and changing hospitals at 39 weeks of pregnancy.
- Aurelia Balestra Mavrick, Doula, Placenta Encapsulation Specialist and mother of 3. Aurelia birthed her first child via ceasarean section with a private obstetrician and her subsequent children were born at home with a privately practicing midwife. Her last labour was precipitous and resulted in an unexpected freebirth.
Collectively, we have experienced pretty much every possible birth and different models of care available here in Perth. We are more than happy to share our experiences with you and help you find out more about what is available to you.
